“Black Box” lyrics

Here are some lyrics for a new Hilltops and Coffeeshops song I’m working on. Words are pretty well solidified, but the music is in process. I think they tell the tale well, but I’ll leave them open for interpretation.

“Black Box” by Hilltops and Coffeeshops
Sealed doors
A frigid war
Years as friends
Negated hence
At each concern
Livid defense
For your dark indulgence

Barricaded – sickness kept from sight
In that prison don’t you miss the light
No one wants to see the aftermath
When you construct the box to bear your death

Skin flush
Endorphins rush
Alternating
Rage and lust
To perceive the
Consequences
No one has to witness

Output connotes two lost souls
More directionless as patterns mesh
We who watch this malady turn severe
Beg to God you’ll recall there is life out here

Barricaded – sickness kept from sight
In that prison don’t you miss the light
No one wants to see the aftermath
When you construct the box to bear your death

Trajectory…
Impending tragedy

Amidst the wreck
The black box will be
All that’s left

Trajectory…
I pray you’ll see

Barricaded – sickness kept from sight
In that prison don’t you miss the light
No one wants to see the aftermath
When you construct the box to bear your death

There is still time
To breach the box that’s killing
But life
Can only find the willing
